I got a couple of videos to share plus a link to his website for a free download of an early album.
This is kid is on point – a phrase i have been using often for some reason.

SOUL KHAN MUSIC

The kid behind Elephant Shoesss is a huge fan of the internet rap battle scene. Supporting not only the heavy weights out of Grindtime, but also keeping much love much north with Toronto’s own King of the Dot. This is a track coming from Cali via New York and one of the freshest MCs i have heard in a while. Dope production and banger verses. Don’t sleep on this kid ’cause Soul Khan will be a heavy hitter in the underground scene. The kid already reps the Brown Bag Allstars, killer crew. This kid references one of the best movies of all time, see if you can catch it. Much love to this cat for keeping me interested in new hip hop.

Soul Khan ft. Marv Won – Thunder in Paradise (production by Marnik cuts by DJ Brace)

Danger Mouse and Sparklehorse have been working together for a little while now, and well much like the hiphop/indie cross over scene, this track is killer. Very much a slow burner, this track defs has something different to offer its listeners from the simple minded garbage often shoved upon through popular culture. Anyways check this track out nice and late at night, will not be disapointed.

Danger Mouse & Sparklehorse – Every time I’m With You (ft. Jason Lytle)

Back to basics, here’s a remix of a staple track. I have mentioned before that I was a little sick of hearing re-interpretations and remixes of MGMT’s Electric Fields and had made many bold statements regarding the remix/mash-up genre, but I must say i enjoy this one, i like it. This is Aeroplane’s remix of the club classic and well it stays true to the true intention of the original track but adds a little life to it. Anyways it is a must hear, check this track out and show some love.

MGMT – Electric Fields (Aeroplane Remix)

I got one more gem to add to the hodge podge variety show this evening and i must say it is a BANGER, ya heard! Pretty Lights continue to produce awesome awesome tracks. This has been the favourite track for the week without doubt. A little bit dark the usual but nonetheless just a sweet sweet piece of music. Has all the elements you could want, smooth breaking intro, hard and grimey interlude, bukka this is a must hear.I have included a couple more from the catalog so please feel free. Oh ya, stay gully.

Pretty lights – Let The World Hurry By

Prety Lights – Hot Like Dimes

Pretty Lights – A Million Tomorrows
